She began her career in counseling in 2000 and founded ATLCW in 2004.  Her training includes a master's degree in Counseling and Counselor Education from Indiana University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia.

"I work with clients in my private practice, who I believe have the capacity to resolve their own problems, however, there are times in our lives when we need assistance.  I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives."

Veronica was trained in EMDR over ten years ago and has been weaving EMDR and mindfulness techniques into her practice format. Veronica's previous counseling experience has made for a full spectrum of knowledge as she was a Certified Family Violence Intervention Provider and a State Certified Clinical Evaluator for substance abuse related treatment.  Veronica has conducted anger management and substance abuse treatment groups as well as the family violence intervention groups.  Veronica is also a National Board Certified Counselor.
